I got this little porcelain watercolour palette today and it’s just one of those things that make you smile! It’s the sweetest little thing, but the perfect size to carry about and use to mix your colours anywhere.
It’s 12 cm wide, which I find about right. I don’t really see the point of a massive palette with watercolours, and who can resist a little daisy shaped one!
I am a bit of a sucker for cute, girly things, but this is more than that. Because it is made of porcelain, it’s not only easy to clean, but the paint is lovely to mix in it as it doesn’t bead.
It’s also surprisingly sturdy, I always imagine fragile when I think of porcelain. Of course I haven’t tested it by dropping it yet, but it has a nice weight in my hand and feels sturdy enough to be popped in a bag with art supplies, without fear of it breaking.
So, I just thought I would share it with you. It’s a really fun little thing that has been a really useful addition to my watercolour paints collection, and I will def be adding it to my list of favourite things.
I got mine on Amazon for £8.99 (at the time of writing this), if you would like one too here is the link to where I purchased it from, but you might want to shop around and see if you can find it elsewhere.
